Making a pattern

From a Facebook mom group One of the most great advice was to create a routine for your kids…and the parents. This will assist you in trying to keep your head in check and stay sane. The most common mistake when taking care of kids during the summer is not having an organized schedule or routine in place. It’s important to create a schedule for the children which is flexible, but manageable. Not only will this assist the children to stay on the right track however, it also helps everyone else in the household arrange their schedule around kid’s activities and make planning a little more predictable , which makes it easier. This is why I started with a timetable for both the kids as well as me. So, for instance, I wrote the general schedule of when certain activities should be finished by. Wake up at 8AM, have breakfast by 9 AM and then go outside for a play (whether or not they’re interested in it). The schedule was not only helpful in keeping our family sane, but also aids me in planning for the summer’s biggest house task and driveway.

A New Driveway and a New Lesson

Our initial major undertaking of the summer was the installation of a driveway panel , which is where we park our van. The previous winter, a huge crack had begun to form along the center of the slab. We obtained an estimate from a driveway paver whom my husband had a relationship with. The schedule that I made was flexible enough for me to take my two sons swimming at 11:00 AM, and after that let my youngest daughter go to rest. This enabled the concrete workers to show up on time and complete their work before the children were up. My daughter woke up to massive machinery that was breaking concrete before pouring it. It was a small experience that helped me understand that camps for children and other out-of the-house activities were very crucial and important to my daughter. fe4e79vp7c.
